Kharboze

Pete and the kids have been doing a homeschooling agricultural project, sortof. Months ago we had an Iranian couple over for dinner and ate NE Persian melon in our yard. Then we noticed a sprout and JJ and JT have been watering it ever since. Now the this Kharboze melon plant almost takes up half our grass in the front yard (which is only about 20 feet by 15 feet, but we really appreciate any yard we can get since we live in the desert!), and the Kharboze melons are growing huge!!!!!!!!!

Car Racing Boyz

The boys had a great time racing on an outdoor bumper car track. Jaydon even picked himself up a date :) Actually, we met an American/German couple in our town that has a Filipino nanny, who Jaydon took to really well.

We love it when our boys play together! Since it gets up to 117 degrees F in the summer here, our boys need to get all the bounce out of them, so we got this really cool trampoline for them!

bye bye binky

Norah had a great idea on how to rid us from the binky once for all without any punishments, stern discipline or tears--she made it a lot of fun by modifying a Super Nanny TV technique. We had JT hang it on a tree 1 nite with a creative story and when he awoke the next morning, surprise rewards for both kids! Well, it's been a few weeks and still binky free!!!
